What is ISEB?
The Independent Schools Examinations Board (ISEB) designs the Common Pre Tests, the 11+ and 13+ Common Entrance examinations, and the Common Academic Scholarship. Its assessments are used by more than one hundred
UK independent schools as part of their admissions process.
For many families, ISEB exams and related entrance tests are the main route into leading day and boarding schools.

ISEB Common Pre Tests
Pupils usually sit the ISEB Common Pre Tests in Year 6 or Year 7 as a first round, computer based assessment for entry to top tier British public schools
Taken once per academic year, with results shared directly with each registered senior school.
Online, adaptive tests in English, Mathematics, Verbal Reasoning and Non Verbal Reasoning.
Each candidate starts with medium level questions. Correct answers lead to progressively more challenging items.
The Common Pre Tests are used by around one hundred leading independent senior schools as the first stage of selection for 13+ entry, including:
Eton College, Harrow School, Winchester College, Westminster School, Charterhouse, Wellington College, Tonbridge School and Brighton College.
